Nach dem Abschrecken und Anlassen erh\u00e4lt er eine hohe Festigkeit und eine gute Schlagz\u00e4higkeit bei niedriger Temperatur mit einer typischen Zugfestigkeit von 900-1200 N \/ mm2,42CrMo4 Bessere Leistung als 34CrMo4-Stahl aufgrund des h\u00f6heren Kohlenstoff- und Chromgehalts. \u00c4hnlich wie bei AISI 4140, nur ein geringer Unterschied im Mn- und Cr-Gehalt.
